Setting up 5143 North came from a decision to be bold; to bring shape to my belief that people are power, that knowledge should be shared, and that resilience and connection are undervalued strengths.

As a new entity, building trust isn’t straight forward – why come to 5143 North? Why bring me in to your organisation? My strength is in my ability to connect with people – to find that common ground, and bring out the best in others. My style is relaxed but diligent – I have fun but am serious about getting the work done and achieving the tasks at hand. I have an ability to cut through the organisational ‘noise’, identify gaps or weaknesses and prioritise actions and processes. Sometimes getting that objective point of view to nudge you back on track is a critical steps to moving ahead with strength.
About the Director.
So who am I? I started my career in the military as a Logistics Officer, where during my 12 years of service I served in some complex and austere environments, on high-pressure tasks. Having gone on to work in different industries from the 3rd Sector to expeditions, elite sports to security risk management, I have decided to take all of this experience and share what I have learnt to help others. Away from work I’ve thrived in the challenging myself through sport, whether Skeleton Bobsleigh, Free-diving, Skydiving, Ultra Running or just getting outside, all of these have taught me to trust myself, to know that I am capable of more than I realise and that resilience comes through adversity. I believe that risk is integral to life, and by understanding the principles of risk management we can all make more informed decisions. I strongly believe in the power of people; in the strength that comes with a cohesive and progressive team; with the importance of having solid, robust systems in place to underpin it all.
